PVC-Coated Steel vs PVC-Coated Stainless vs 304 Stainless Solar Bird Mesh
Solar bird mesh material names should be kept separate in an RFQ. PVC-coated steel wire, PVC-coated stainless steel wire and 304 stainless steel wire without PVC coating are three different specification paths.
Material comparison
| PVC-coated steel wire | A steel wire mesh with PVC coating, commonly requested as black coated solar panel perimeter mesh. |
|---|---|
| PVC-coated stainless steel wire | A stainless steel wire mesh with PVC coating for buyers who request stainless base wire plus a black coated finish. |
| 304 stainless steel wire without PVC coating | A bare 304 stainless wire mesh option. It is not the same as PVC-coated stainless mesh. |
How to write the material in a quotation request
- Use “PVC-coated steel wire” when the buyer wants the common black coated steel mesh option.
- Use “PVC-coated stainless steel wire” when the buyer wants stainless substrate plus PVC coating.
- Use “304 stainless steel wire without PVC coating” when the buyer wants bare stainless mesh.
- Do not write only “steel mesh” if the coating or stainless requirement matters.
